all those adorable mutts, who knows what makes them so cute!

We know what you’re thinking, “This is a
rescue dog…it shouldn’t be so expensive!”
However, your PARA rescue is coming…
checked (and treated!) for all medical conditions (including
Before you tell us you can do all of that for
less, keep in mind these dogs are often abused and neglected which means the
cost to save and treat one furry PARA member easily exceeds the highest adoption
fee of AED 3,000. Trust us, to buy a pet from a breeder and then provide the
pet with all of its basic medical and health needs costs well over AED 4,000. The
fees go toward the care received by rescues under PARA care.
How does the adoption process
Here’s a quick rundown of how the adoption
process works. Before you do anything, please look at our dogs and pick a
couple that you are interested in.
Go fill out our adoption form!
We will contact you for a phone interview.
Meet and greet with potential furmembers. The whole family (including dogs) should come and vibe with the potential adoptee.
The trial period begins! In order to ensure that you’ve chosen the perfect furmember, we facilitate a one-week trial for you to take the pet home before committing to the adoption. During this trial, our adoption counselor will be available to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
*Please note that the adoption fee will be
collected before the trial period and returned if the pet is not adopted at the
end of the week.
Can I meet the dog before filling out an application?
No, we require that an adoption form be filled out before you meet the specified dog. If you want to meet multiple dogs before filling the form you are welcome to come to our adoption events. These events will be posted on our social media.
I adopted a dog from PARA 3 years
ago and I can no longer take care of it. Where should I take it?
We are committed to each of our dogs and
puppies for their lifetime! While we hope that all of our adopters will give PARA
Rescues a lifetime of comfort and love, we also know this is unrealistic. This
is why if you and your furmember come across a problem we offer life-long
support to their families with advice, recommendations, etc. If at any point in
the dog’s life it does not work out, we REQUIRE our dogs to come back to the
rescue to ensure that they are never at risk in a shelter or placed in a bad situation!
The PARA Family is for life!
I’m not ready to adopt a dog but
would love to help PARA out. What are my options?
We have many ways that members of the
community can help out!
Foster! Do you miss having a furry friend around, but aren’t ready to commit to a lifetime partner? We get it, getting a dog is a big decision. If this sounds like you, you’re a perfect candidate for fostering. Our fosters take dogs temporarily into their homes and provide them with a safe space to decompress and heal after being rescued from stressful and dangerous situations. Foster homes are essential when getting to know a new rescue or saving new animals when the kennels are full. If you have more questions about fostering, fill out our foster form with your questions and we will address them!
Virtual Foster! If you want to help a dog in need but work long hours and can’t provide adequate in-home care you could virtual foster. Our virtual fosters provide all the essentials to a dog in boarding to make them feel comfortable and engaged until they are adopted.
Give back! Check out our social media sites to see what expenses you could help with! Our rescues often need intense medical care and we are always looking for supporters to help us cut down costs!
